Sour Cream Waffles

Serves 4

1½ cups all purpose flour

1½ teaspoons baking powder

¾ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

1 cup whole milk

1cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 eggs

4 tablespoons butter, melted

Oil, for the waffle iron

Preheat a waffle iron until hot. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, sugar and cinnamon.

In a small, separate bowl, whisk together the milk, sour cream, eggs, and melted butter. Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.

Lightly brush a waffle iron with oil. Cook the waffles until crispy (time will depend on the waffle maker).

Serve with: maple syrup, butter, powdered sugar, jam
